Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Maryland
How do you respond to 'motion for reconsideration'
i won a case that was sent to the circuit court for judical review. the decision at that level affirmed the adminsitrative judges decision. an order was mailed to me that the 'other party' should pat me all back wages and reinstate me to my job as ordered 6 months ago. a motion for reconsideration was filed in response to the judges' orders. the court of special appeals wrote me and told me to submit a letter in response to the 'other party's request for a motion of stay. and the above mentioned decision was determined. i do not have an attorney and can noot afford one. i have been representing myself since the circuit court level. what do i do now in response to motion for stay.

Re: How do you respond to 'motion for reconsideration'
If the Court told you to respond, you better respond, because it means they are at least considering the other side's argument. If nothing else if you can not afford an attorney, quote from relevant sections of the Court's opinion ruling in your favor, compare those to the arguments in the motion for reconsideration, and presuming that you can, state that the Defendant's have provided no reasons to change or reverse the Court's opinion in your favor.
