Legal Question in Banking Law in Maryland
After taking a job and being paid by cashiers checks, my bank informed me (after they cashed the checks) that the cashiers checks were fraud and I now am entitled to pay the bank the amount of the checks. Do I have a case to fight this?

Not against the bank. You owe them. You are a victim of a common scam. Report it to the police and FBI and perhaps you can help them catch the bad guys.
