Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland
auto accident judgement
During a time in 2003 when i was unemployed, i got into a car accident and i was uninsured at the time. i never got the summons cause i became homeless at the time of the trial, and was judgement against for approx. $9,500. The judgement was forwarded to my address months afte the trial. The plaintiff and the insurance co. sued me, and had my drivers licence and registration suspended. The motor vehicle administration, sent me a letter stating that in order to get my licence back, i need to negotiate a payment arrangements with the plaintiffs lawyer...my question is can this judgement be claimed if i decide to file for banqruptsy?
