Can a business go bankrupt with 3 owners without hurting their private homes and investments

As with most things of this nature, the answer is, "it depends." If personal and business dealings were kept strictly separate, if there were no personal guarantees, if there is no allegation of improper separation between business and personal affairs, then yes.
A bigger question is why the business would file for bankruptcy. If it isn't reorganizing, has few assets and doesn't owe taxes, in most cases a Chapter 7 corporate bankruptcy is unnecessary. Just close the business.
