Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland
Bankruptcy Chapter 7
My wife and I own a home together - but the mortgage is only in my name. We filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy (seperately a few months apart) in the spring of 2005 - now I'm having a lot of health problems. Can I file Chapter 7 bankruptcy and if so will I loose my home.

Re: Bankruptcy Chapter 7
It's not possible to say based on the information provided. You will be able to keep your home IF there is no non-exempt equity and you can keep up on the payments. If there is equity, it would likely be exempt IF you have no joint debt with your wife. I would be glad to take a look at your situation and advise you as to your options.
