i am a cosigner of a loan in my mother name. she filed chapter 13 and this loan is negatively affecting my credit. i ask them if i pay the balance will it come off my credit report. they told me it could take years.What do i do?

There really isn't much you can do. The credit reporting agencies are correctly reporting that the loan (which you were legally responsible for) was not paid timely.
