Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland

I am a free lancer and I submitted an
invoice last month. Tribune filed
bankruptcy. I was told I wasn't going
to get paid. How do I handle this. This
is a financial burdon

You need to file a Proof of Claim in the bankruptcy court.

Unfortunately, bankruptcy is a burden on creditors. You will probably be paid some or all of your money, but not for some time. You need to file a Proof of Claim with the court, and are precluded from taking other action to collect.
