Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland
Complaint for Objection to Discharge the Debt
I am a creditor and the person has filed Chapter 7. I need to file a Complaint of Objection to the Discharge of the Debt. I Have searched the internet and cannot find a sample or form. What type of Lawyer would handle drawing up this document and how much does it normally cost?

It's not a "form". It is for all intents and purposes a lawsuit, and you need a lawyer who practices bankruptcy law and litigation. We handle these cases regularly and would be happy to discuss your case with you.
Re: Complaint for Objection to Discharge the Debt
You need to hire an attorney that handles bankruptcies and they will likely have the required software to prepare the form. OR, you can contact the bankruptcy court and ask if they have a sample form (sometimes they do)
I would be happy to discuss your matter with you further. Please contact my office for a free consult.
Re: Complaint for Objection to Discharge the Debt
First . . . are you sure you have grounds to object to the discharge of the debt? It doesn't make sense to spend time (and money) if you do not have grounds. An example of this would be if the debt to you was fraudulently obtained, or if the debt is for child support or alimony. I don't believe you can find a form for this. Most bankruptcy attorneys who represent creditors can do this for you. As far as how much it would cost, these are typically handled at an hourly rate, and those rates vary from attorney to attorney. They will most likely require a retainer up front. Once again, though, that amount depends on the attorney. Feel free to contact me if you need any further information.
