Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland

Debts accrued prior to Bankruptcy filing, but not listed.

I recently found that I had not included a large bill when I filed my bankruptcy. What is the process of including this bill if my bankruptcy has already been accepted. I have had several calls from this creditor and I am not sure if I can refer to my recent bankruptcy yet. I filed CH. 13. Thank You in advance for your help.

Amendment to list of creditors

Although I do not understand what you mean by your bankruptcy being "accepted", I will assume that you mean "filed" with the bankruptcy court. Should this be the case, you may always move to amend prior to the discharge date. Should your bankruptcy plan have already been "approved" in a Chapter 13 filing, you may also move to amend that plan, however, there will most certainly be a fee for revising your plan of payment.Should I have misunderstood your situation, please advise further.

Amendment to Creditor List

You can amend your schedules to add this creditor. It is a simple process, which your attorney can take care of, and requires a $20 amendment fee to the Court. The new creditor must also be sent a copy of the Notice of Commencement.
