Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland
If our house was given back to the bank as part of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy does our name still remain on the deed until it is foreclosed and does that foreclosure go against our credit?

Your house cannot be foreclosed while you are in bankruptcy. To answer your question, your name remains on the deed until it is foreclosed. Once the foreclosure occurs, The it absolutely goes against your credit (so does the bankruptcy).
