Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland

What are the personal ramifications of filing bankruptcy?

Currently because if my credit history, I cannot rent an apartment, buying a car, etc, etc. I was laid off twice in the past. That contributed to my economic problems. Will I continue to face the same problems if I do decide to file? I certainly can't be any worse off than I am now.

Can Bankruptcy Make It Worse?

Your comment that "I certainly can't be any worse off than I am now" is pretty true. Although filing for bankruptcy won't *help* your credit rating, it will wipe out your debt, allowing you to get a fresh start.
