Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland
Reaffirmation
I have a bankruptcy that was discharged in March of this year. I did not re affirm for my auto and now I am having major engine issues. Do I have to keep the car? I was advised that since I did'nt reaffirm I am not liable for the auto. I no longer receive statments

Re: Reaffirmation
No, assuming it was a Chapter 7, you did not reaffirm, and you did list the debt in your bankruptcy petition, then you can turn the car in (or see if they will come get it) and you will not be responsible for any deficiency that results when your car is auctioned.
