I need to form an LLC in pa but live in maryland. Do I need to form the LLC where I live?

You need not live in a state where an LLC is formed; however, most states require that there be a resident agent who resides in the state. There are comparative advantages as well as disadvantages with opening an LLC is the different states. You should discuss your business plan with an attorney who has a commercial background.
