Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland

I am in a business partnership that went south. My Partner bought personal items and they were charged to a business credit card that is only in my name. Over $3,000. I have paid them and the partner has not paid me back. Our office was in her condo so she has everything I need to continue doing business and will not allow me access to anything. She wants me to pay her profit from our final job, but I refuse as she owes me more than what her share would be. She agreed verbally to let me keep the company name and has already started another company doing the same thing we were doing (Interior Design) . She now says unless I pay her she will not sign anything or allow me to get my things from the office, and secided to go back on her original word to let me keep the name. It is preventing me from doing any business at all as she is hoarding the library.

What can I do?

You can hire a Maryland attorney to try and work out a written settlement between the two of you. If a settlement cannot be worked out, you will have no choice but to bring a lawsuit.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance. Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
