Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
I have a possible name for a new business.It has been used in another state and on a book title. Can I use it? What about trademark? The name is Your Wedding, Your Way Thank you

Book titles cannot be copyrighted, but if you are using a trademarked name of another business you could be liable for infringement. Depending on where the other business is and whether your using it would hurt its business, you might be able to work out an accommodation with the other company. Better to approach them than to invest in the name first and risk having to give it up later.
