Car Company wants money after 20 years

brought a car over 20 years ago. I crash the car and ever paid the 9,000.00 owe on the car. The car was repo. I receive a letter saying that I needed to paid for this car or they are going to put a lien on my house and send the information to the MVA, are they after me because I brought a house? Can they mess with my credit

Unless the lender sued you after repoing the car and got a judgment against you, they can't put a lien on your house. If they try to sue you now after so many years, the suit would be too old and subject to dismissal. If you own your house with your wife, they couldn't put a lien on your house unless she was part of the car situation.
