Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland

False advertisement

I got a car from Liberty Ford and according to the advertisement stated that I would get free service for my SUV for the lifetime of the car as well as free tire maintenance and oil changes.

After I brought my SUV, I now find out that this is not true. I free that this was false advertisement and this commercial comes on TV everday to sucker people in. Also the advertisement stated that I could get the payment as low as I want. This was not true either.

Re: False advertisement

Legally, what you read in an advertisement is not binding on the seller unless it is incorporated into the sales agreement. The first statement about the free service, assuming there were no conditions imposed for which you didn't qualify, could constitute false advertising or "bait and switch" tactics, and you ought to consider contacting the consumer fraud division of the county government or the MD attorney general's office to see if they are willing to investigate the matter.
