Finger printing
Is it against your constitutional rights for an employer to ask for your fingerprints? That is if at the beginning of employment you were not asked.

Re: Finger printing
This is not a constitutional issue. There is no law that prohibits this practice as a condition of employment.
Re: Finger printing
You do not have a privacy interest in your fingerprints as you leave them about freely. Where there is a criminal matter a different analysis may result. Basically it is a question of whether you want the job.
Many employment contracts require a background investigation. If you have an opportunity but feel your background may prohibit it you should contact an attorney.
Maryland is an at will employment law state and certain contracting requires background checks of all employees.
