Harassment
We, as a business have been dealing with another business for over a year. Recently we had hired another member to our business. This other business hired us to do a job for them, and we subsiquently sent our employee to complete the job in place of us. However, our employee received complaints directed at the first party, who in turn has been verbally harassing my family with obscene messages and threats. I would like to know is it possible for him to sue us for unsatisfactory preformance, and is it possible for us to sue him for harassment on a business and/or personal level. If so, what is the maximum level of compensation for each party involved. I am sorry that this is so drawn out, but it is heavy on my mind and would like to find the real answers. Thank you.

As I interpret your question, the other business is dissatisfied with the performance of your employee in completing the job for which the other business hired you. If the other business can establish that the work was not done properly, or that the project was not completed in accordance with the requirements of the job that you agreed to, they can sue your company for breach of contract.. Generally speaking, if they can prove their case, they can require you to either finish the job, make it right, or if they hired someone else to correct and/or complete it, collect what they paid for that, less anything still owed to you.
Claims for "harassment" require proof that it was extreme and that you suffered some financial loss. Although your question didn't have contain many specifics, this sounds like a fairly typical business dispute. Since you've been doing business for a significant period of time with this company, why not try to arrange a meeting and work out your differences?
