Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
I have an LLC in Delaware and operate in Maryland. I only register to operate in Maryland. Now I don't see the need to have the Deleware registration. I see other people are advised to simply close Delaware and create a new LLC in Maryland. However, I don't want to do that because some government contracts require the company operating more than 2 years (SBA, 8a cert). How do I simply transfer the LLC age?
Thank you much!!

It seems that you could show your original DE charter and then that you re-chartered in MD to demonstrate that. You should check with a contracting officer to find out what is acceptable to them. If you're using the same LLC trade name for both, I can't see why there would be a problem.
