Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
my llc is being sued
I own a medical supply company. A patient received our product & signed an agreement to pay. We received their incorrect address from a hospital. However, the insurance company notified them of their outstanding bill. When their remaining bill of $25 came back as undeliverable, we searched an online database and called them to update the address and gave them a deadline to call us back, or be submitted to equifax. They never called or paid for over a year. Now he wants to sue us for a half million for ruining his credit. Does he have a case?

Re: my llc is being sued
If the bill is legitimate and the customer had notice of it and failed to pay, and if you accurately reported it to Equifax, they have no claim against you
