Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
Non-Compete
I worked for a company for 9 years and had a non-compete. The company was sold to another company. After a few months with the new company I decided to leave and start my own company in the same line of business. Because my non-compete was with my first employer can the new employer enforce it? The company was bought through a stock purchase.

Re: Non-Compete
Not enough facts to know for sure, but probable.
Stock purchase allows new owner to step into shoes of previous owner.
