Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
I ordered an item but never received it.
Here is the rub. The Post Office states that they delivered it (but I did not sign for it). When asked the Post Office theorized that after they delivered it was stolen.
Who is liable for the value of the product?

I suggest you file a claim with the USPS if they left the package in an unsafe area. Before doing that, if this is an item you ordered commercially, the seller may agree to replace it since they are the ones who placed it in the hands of the USPS. If they refuse and you paid with a credit card, you can protest this to your credit card company.
