overtime
i am employed as a residential sales rep woking inside telemarketing and door to door selling. at one time we were receiving overtime pay now as of friday march 13 the company told us we are no longer obligated to pay overtime who is eligible for overtime?

MD law generally obligates an employer to pay time and a half over 40 hrs/wk, except in certain industries, such as hotels, restaurants, gas stations, country clubs, and certain others. There is nothing in the statute that exempts your type of business. You should ask your employer what took effect last week to remove this obligation.
