Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
I owned an LLC contracting company about 4 years ago. Do not own it now, and the LLC has lapsed.
A past homeowner is sueing me for funds from the Maryland guarantee Fund.
What should I do?

If the guaranty fund pays, it can come after you (if you were the licensee) for what it paid out, and can deny/suspend your license if you don't pay. So it makes sense to defend if you can.
