Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
Repaired item abandoned at repair shop.
Customer's computer was repaired at place of business. Customer neither picked or, nor paid for repairs. Can repair shop take ownership of computer and resell to recoup labor & parts costs? Under what conditions?

Yes, but I recommend that before doing so, the shop notify the customer of its intentions and give the customer a reasonable period of time to recover the computer. Most repair shops put language on their invoice to this effect so that the customer is on notice.
