Returned checks?
A vendor at my health club wrote two personal checks to the club via for employee comm. the employee cashed the checks at a check cashing business the checks were returned and now he is stating I am liable for the returned checks and need to pay for the amount of the checks. Am I liable?

I suggest you rewrite your question to explain why a vendor at your club (you own the club?) is paying your employee instead of you. Also, on what basis does your employee earn a "commission" from this transaction? If the checks were in lieu of compensation owed by you as the employer to the employee, then you would still be responsible for paying the employee. But the arrangement is not clear from your question.
