Starting a Company
We would like to open an appliance service company and get it incorporated. Does one of the owner need to be certified in any way?

You don't need to be "certified" to form a corporation, although you will probably need a business license from the county where you will maintain your business. To incorporate, you need to draft a corporate charter in conformity with the law in Maryland, and then you need to submit the charter to the Dept. of Assessments and Taxation for acceptance. To do it right, you should also issue stock to the shareholders. If you would like some assistance with this, you can contact me.
