Wait period before breech of contract
If I have a simple service contract(no termination clause) with a contractor to do some work and he doesn't do anything for a substantial period of time; how long do I have to wait before the contract can be terminated?

Re: Wait period before breech of contract
It's difficult to answer your question because it was so vague. Generally speaking, if the contract calls for "periodic" service without specifiying a particular time period, it would depend on what's normal for the particular type of work contemplated by the agreement. You should write the contractor and tell him you want "x" done by a certain date, failing which you will terminate the contract. You didn't say, but if you've prepaid, that presents the problem of getting a refund.
