Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Maryland

I have been asked by my companies general manager at the request of the company Board of Directors President to stop promoting my choice of candidates that are running for seats on the Board of Directors. I feel that this is violating my civil rights by limiting my freedom of speech. Do I have a case that a lawyer can work with?
