can bill collectors

i have two question can bill collectors harress u at work even if u have told them not call you anymore at work in they contuine to call i have even told them i don't work there in they contuine to call in before 9 am in thre to five times a day or six time a week in the second question is i have a court summons to go to court for a rental furntuire store can they send a copy of my summons to someone else it was address to a realtive or current resident in it was copy of my court summons to appear in court in they know that i don not live there i got one to my house as well

Debt collectors can not contact you at work if they know your employer does not allow to receive such calls. They must stop calling you if you notify them in writing that you refuse to pay the debt. They are also prohibited from harassing you in general. The federal law generally places limits and restrictions on debt collectors communicating with third parties in such a way so as to reveal the debt. It sounds like they have crossed the threshold in violation of the federal and state consumer protection laws.
