Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Maryland
a police officer came up to me earlier and said that it is illegal to have indoor furniture outdoors, is this true?

While there is no such statewide law in Maryland (and as stated it sounds like a very unusual law), note that cities, towns and counties all have their own ordinances and rules related to various property matters. Some of these relate to what you can and can't have outdoors. If an officer claimed you violated some local ordinance, you can find out what ordinance or code section and look up the law for yourself. The circuit court in your county should have a law library if you need help looking up such laws.
