Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Maryland
Would like to ask a question and get a FREE answer. I'm not sure of the appropriate law category regarding INCOMPETENCY.
If a person has been deemed incompetent in Maryland, is it a requirement for that person's family to be notified of such a legal action?
I live in NC, but my question applies to a Maryland relative.

If you are referring to guardianship proceedings (when a person is alleged to be unable to make decisions regarding their person or property) then yes, immediate family members must be notified when a petition is filed.
