CAN YOU STOP A SEGMENT OF A REALITY SHOW FROM COINTINOUS PLAY? i agreed to participate in a television episode of whose wedding is it. The segment was cut in such a way as to make me look bad. I did not see it at the time, But heard about it. Now it's begining to effect my life in a negative way. I teach school and now I'm having to deal with this issue everytime it airs. It's effecting my crediability as an instructor. which is my livelyhood. any help would be appreciated.

You may want to re-look at the contract/release/participant agreement you signed. Maryland law does allow for suits based on placing a person in a false light but whether or not you can make such claims will depend heavily on the specific facts of your case. Generally to recover the depiction must be false, not just negative. In some cases it is possible to get injunctive relief (that is, an order to stop playing) but again this depends heavily on the specific facts.
