Bob, attorneys typically don't just give out free legal help. You are going to have a tough time finding an attorney to take on the State of Maryland for free or on a contingency basis unless you really have a humdinger of a case (and wrongful termination of a drivers license is not a very sexy case). You need a criminal defense attorney, not a civil attorney, as I would think your first course of business would be to get your license reinstated. Some criminal defense attorneys will exchange/barter their services for your services (is your profession/skill something that might be worthwhile to the attorney?), physical possessions (jewelry, watches, vehicles, art, etc.), and some will allow you to pay through a monthly or quarterly payment plan. Look around a little, you might be surprised.
Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
