Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland
Filing a Civil Dispute
May 17, 2001, I had windows installed in a home I have lived in for over 10 years. Rain seeped into new window. Window company denys and refuses to work with me. I have water damage to my home, which happenes to be for sale. Insurance does not cover. Took off from work, mold & mildew in home, had to take my house off the market. This occured in PG county maryland. Do I have a suit against the window company and for what damages. I have a video tape of the water and a letter from my insurance company.
Thank You.....

Re: Filing a Civil Dispute
It sounds like you have a claim for new windows, mold damage, costs associated with having to put your house up for sale again, and time and inconvenience dealing with it. Read the contract and make sure they did not slip in a binding arbitration clause.
