Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland

lemon laws

I bought a car in October of 1999. It was a new car with a warranty. It has been in the shop more than a half dozen times since then and 5 parts were recalled and I was not notified of that until a problem developed. Heard of the lemon law on the internet and want to know if it applies.

Re: lemon laws

You have not given enough information to determine if the

problems you are having are covered under the Maryland Lemon Law. What

exactly are the problems? My suggestion is to contact the Attorney General's Office for Consumer

Protection. They will be able to quickly determine your options. However, you need to put all defects

in writing to the manufacturer and give them a chance to correct the problem.

I hope this has been helpful, good luck.
