You can file a complaint against the company under Maryland's consumer protection statutes. The amount in dispute will determine which state court (circuit v. district) you will file in. When you contact an attorney, be prepared to provide copies of any written agreements, the amount you sent to the vendor, and any other information relating to your case. You may also consider filing a complaint with the state Attorney General's office. The AG's office is the lead state agency for combating consumer fraud. If the amount you lost is up to $2,500, you can file a small claims action in the District Court in your County. I believe the filing fee is now $20. You need to find who the company's resident agent is in Maryland, and can learn this from the Maryland Dept. of Assessments and Taxation, which has website you can search on, or call their office. You should also consider complaining to the Maryland Attorney General. Send copies of your correspondence showing how they ignored you.
