Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland
Removing items from storage.
I have items in storage in the 1/2 of the garage of my former landlord. In exchange for this storage I gave her a car. Value $1,000. I have a signed agreement that the items can stay in her garage until Jan.5. I notified her on December 5 that I would be comming by to pick up my items on December 14. She said she would be out of town from December 13 until Decmeber 16. Which means that I can not pick these items up until December 18. I suggested that she have a neighbor or friend allow me access to the garage, that I do not have to go into the house. She does not want to do this. Is there anything I can do to obtain access to my stored items. I have rented a truck on December 14 to load my stored items in. And I need to drive to San Francisco to start a new job on December 24. That is why it is necessary that I obtain my stored items on December 14. Is there anyway I can get these items on december 14?

Re: Removing items from storage.
Explain everything to your former landlord so that he/she can see the problem it will create for you. Otherwise, you will probably have to change your own schedule.
