Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland
Small Claims Case
Due to an Ebay automotive deal that
went FAR south, I need to file a
Small Claims case in Maryland. I am
a resident of Texas but the seller
resides in Maryland. I would be suing
to get my deposit ($500.00) back,
airfare ($200.00+), and any legal
fees associated with this. I have
spoken to Law Enforcement (Anne
Arundel County) and a detective has
informed me that Small Claims is the
route I will have to go. The case
must be filed in Maryland although I
reside in Texas and WILL NOT be able
to attend court proceedings.

Re: Small Claims Case
If you are not going to court, better find a lawyer. Otherwise, you're probably wasting your time and more money. Judges take a dim view of people filing lawsuits who do not want to come to court.
