Brought a used car on May 2, 2008 at Antwerpen Volkswagen in Pasadena, MD. I brought a 2004 Honda element. VIN # 5j6yh28514l012566 It had 35743 miles on it at time of sale. I paid $9100 down (my mom passed and it was the little bit of money i got and the max i could put down) and they put temp tags on car, i signed paperwork paid for insurance with esurance to get it good. Provided dealer with 3 months of pay stubs and also a utility bill. I have bad credit I had a repo back in Oct 07. Cresent Bank in Pasadena I guess issued a loan. Dealership said I was all set! I signed documents ect. Saturday get call from dealer asking me for my w2, and telling me bank has decided to add more fees and if I don't come back in and sign new paperwork they will take car. Is this legal I paid money down I have paperwork and was given a price paid my down payment this is all after the fact. SO i reluctantly went and resigned the paperwork and drove the car for 2 months then again they call and want me to come in yet again to sign. I refused this time and started looking for a lawyer and have been unsuccessful. I then moved down to VA beach and in Aug the car was repoed. they are only trying to give me back 2k of my downplayment of 9k.

So, you could sue this dealer in small claims court in Virginia Beach for 5K and (with a lawyer)for at least 7K in the regular general district court.
