Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland
HI, I went to a tailgate party yesterday that was sponsered by Elite Spice in Jessup, MD as part of the party, they give away prizes. I won a $25 gas card because my # was called. Today I went to use it at my local Sunoco station and told me it was an invalid card and basically accussed me of stealing it. I then called Elite Spice and they were angry that I was upset for having an invalid card. I spoke with Debbie Engel who told me the cards were not the responsibility of Elite Spice because they recieved them as gifts also. She laughed at me because she thought my complaint was trivial and then she hung up on me. After calling back sveral times she then told me if I was gonna be an "asshole" that I should come down there and she would give me the "fucking money". I told her that all I wanted was the prize represented by them that I supposedly won. She cursed me out and I am now afraid to even go down to the company to voice my concerns. I was verbally abused and the company misrepresented a prize giveaway. What can I do about it?

If I were in your shoes, I would just let it go. For $25, what does it matter? There are bigger things.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
