Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

Auto Loan Contract

My mother filed chapter 7 Bankruptcy about 2 years ago and I was a cosigner on her car. She continued to pay her car note with Chrysler FIn. However along the way she had problems and I would pay some car payments. She never reaffirmed the car or anything. Recently she started being late with her payments. We spoke with 3 diff. people from Chrysler and they said that they had no contract with us since she filed bankruptcy and that it would not go on my credit if she gave it back. They also said it was like she was driving a stolen car because we have no contract with them. I am so confused and we have asked a couple of Lawyers about it and nobody seems to agree on anything. I really need help before they take the car I really want to keep my credit in good standing but can't afford the note.

Re: Auto Loan Contract

You have contradictory objectives. On the one hand you want to keep the car and on the other you cannot afford the note. Can your mother afford the note? Someone has to pay the note if you are going to keep the car.

You may have a titling issue that needs to be corrected. You also have other matters relating to the contract of sale that require inquiry.

If you would like for me to assist you with this matter I am available at an affordable flat rate. Please feel free to contact me so that I may get this matter cleared up.
