collection calls at work

can i do anything about a credit card co. calling me at work about a debt i owe.i have told them not to call me at work in the past and was told it would never happen again.well it did.my hrs have been cut at work and i am barely getting by on what i do get,and i have told them my circumstances.i need to know what i can do so the calls at work stop.

If your work does not allow the contacts, you should contact the debt collector in writing to tell them of this fact and tell them to stop contacting you at work. If you dispute the debt, say so in your letter. If you want them to stop contacting you completely, you could say so in your letter. Send the letter by certified mail, return receipt requested to prove that they received it.
