Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

Collection of medical bill

Debt due to medical injury 1 1/2 years ago. Amount $1,013.00 due and unable to pay. Court tomorrow if I can not attend, will they imprison me? What does it mean when it is stated, '' Judgement by default or relief sought''? Thank you.

You don't go to jail if you don't pay, but they will be able to garnish your wages and your bank accounts. You may want to try to work out a payment plan.
