Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland
Can a company report the exact same bill to 2 different collection companies for the same amount. Assuming they can't do this, what recourse would you have. I'm talking about the exact same balance on the exact same bill.

I don't necessarily see it as a problem. The creditor can only be paid once, however.
If the account were *sold* to two different debt buyers, the answer would be different.
