Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland
I have credit card debt in my name only. I was wondering if my spouse can be held responsible for my debt. I am unemployed and currently going to school. We own a house but the deed and mortgage are only in his name. The debt and poroperty were obtained during the marriage. I dont care about my credit rating I just want to know if they can take our house or garnish my husbands wages since these debts are not in his name. He also didn't know that even had these credit cards.

Generally speaking debt in one spouse's name will NOT encumber the assets of the other spouse.
While not legal advice I hope this general information helps.
