Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

credit overdue

My husband did not pay a credit card which elapsed since into a courtcase and he did not appear. He is not in the US. If he travels with our children into the US does he face being taken into custody at the airport? Can I pay his bill to avoid this or is it too late?

Assuming the judgment against your husband was the result of a civil hearing, I don't think the feds will be waiting to pick him up. If you have the means to settle the judgment with the credit card company, do so.
