Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

my daughter got a parking ticket at her school. Some parking lots are marked "open parking after 5:30" and some are not marked with anything, not even teachers only. She parked in an unmarked lot. Unfortunately, life got in the way and she forgot to pay it within 30 Days, so the fee has been doubled. she has one week and it will triple if she hasn't paid it. I know she has an obligation to pay the ticket but the doubling and tripling of fees seem excessive.

What's your question? Either pay the ticket or contest it. The longer your daughter waits, the worse the situation gets. She has no one to blame but herself and you are not helping the situation.
