Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

At the end of my divorce litigation, I was ordered to pay my ex's lawyer fee of $500 but they did not state a time of 30, 60 or 90 days, etc.. I was saving up from every paycheck to pay the money when one day a court document came from the county court saying that his attorney filed to have my wages garnished and it was granted. I had full intention to pay and almost had the money saved. I immediately filed my answer to defend/object the writ of garnishment and included a certified bank check in the full amount of $500. My judgement is now paid in full and my wages were never garnished. Can I request that the court remove the garnishment from my record since it never was actually applied.

If you paid the $500, your wages should not be garnished. I'm not sure what record you speak of. Please re-submit your question if you have a more specific question regarding the wage garnishment.
